For the first time ever, a new season “Sesame Street” will premiere on premium cable before it airs free on PBS. The first trailer appeared on Thursday.
The Emmy-winning children’s show will unveil the first two episodes of season 46 on Jan. 16 from 9-10 a.m. on HBO. It will land on PBS at least nine months later.
The new episodes will run 30 minutes instead of 60. Celebrity guests this season include: Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams, Nick Jonas, Alan Cumming, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Gina Rodriguez.
